Parks & Campgrounds

Most of the communities in the Gateway REDA have their own regional park associated with them. There are a total of three parks and campgrounds in the proximate region: Moosomin & District Regional Park, Fieldstone Campground & RV Resort, and Welwyn Regional Park.

Moosomin & District Regional Park

Moosomin & District Regional Park, located 10 km southwest of the town of Moosomin, has numerous private cabins along the shore of Moosomin Lake. Tennis, volleyball, and basketball courts are located near the lakeshore, and a pitch-and-putt sand green golf course is located near the south end of the park. A large sandy beach borders the lake, and a boat launching area is available for use. There is a restaurant and concession is housed in a building just off the beach for shopping and groceries, along with change rooms and a shower house. The lake has good swimming and fishing, as well as a wheelchair-accessible pier. Campsites with or without services are available. Pets are permitted on leash

Welwyn Regional Park

Located a few kilometres north of the Village of Welwyn, the Welwyn Regional Park features 20 campsites. The lake boasts excellent fishing and there is a public boat launch available. The park is self-supporting and volunteer operated. Swimming lessons are offered with a registered swimming instructor for one week during the summer. The park is open May 1 to October 31.

Fieldstone Campground & RV Resort

One of the beautiful picnic sites at Fieldstone Campground & RV Resort, Moosomin

Fieldstone Campground & RV Resort is located one mile north of Moosomin along Highway No. 8. This campground offers beautiful, well-treed sites with or without services. There are several washrooms and a large shower facility. Fire pits are available in all sites. Group campsites are also available. Fieldstone boasts many picnic areas, a man-made lake, and beach volleyball courts. The park is great for hiking in the summer and cross-country skiing in the winter.
